Today we headed directly west across Wyoming. It is incomprehensible how much land there really is. It's endless...nothing in sight but fencing, cows and horses! We also drove through the Bighorn National Forest. So many great things to see it took us about 2 hours longer than expected! Mountains, views, water falls....so amazing.

After arriving in Cody, we walked downtown and watched a shoot out in the street with Buffalo Bill Cody, Wyatt Earp and a handful of bad guys... Really! They used blanks though, and reminded everyone to never play with guns, of course. Stevie bought a lasso at the trading post (a real one) and she is sure that she will be a rodeo star later in life! We also took advantage of the Walgreens in town to get a few supplies. It has been quite awhile since we have seen a store like that (that being one that has a wonderful selection of the things you might really need). My Dad asked if we had, at any point, been further than 15 miles from a Walmart. Funny to think about, but, yes, we have been WAY further than that for most of the last couple of days. Much of the time we have had no/spotty phone service and no WiFi. So its exciting that Cody has a Walmart and Kmart....still no Target though! All in all, Cody is a neat place.
Tomorrow morning we are all heading out for a morning horseback ride. It is a breakfast ride, so we will have breakfast cooked on the campfire! Doesn't get any better!
